Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full-time position: Assistant Director of Media Relations in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
This position will serve as Assistant Director of Media Relations while abiding by and complying with the constitution, by-laws, rules, regulations and interpretations of the NCAA, any conference with which Coastal Carolina is or may become affiliated, and Coastal Carolina rules and regulations relating to the conduct and administration of its athletic programs, including recruiting rules, as now constituted or as any of the same may be amended during term herein. In the event employee becomes aware, or has reasonable cause to believe, that violations of such constitution, by-laws, interpretations, rules or regulations may have taken place, he/she shall report the same promptly to the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation.

Athletics Administrator (UH16/61122934/ 61122436), full-time position with benefits. Normal work days and hours vary. Work events on nights and weekends, travel as necessary. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordination of all pre and postgame communications with local, regional, and national media for sports as assigned or designated to include, but not limited to; production and distribution of game notes, event previews and recaps, general press releases promoting program or sport.
Assist with the management of athletic department website development and updating for sports or programs as assigned to include, but not limited to; student-athlete/coach/staff biographies, press releases, game schedules, and statistical information for assigned sports.
Assist with creation of content for athletic publications such as; record or fact books. Assist with content creation related to social media promotions to enhance fan engagement with programs and to assist with marketing and promotion of programs.
Coordinate and secure necessary staff for home event needs related to event operations as assigned. Travel with programs as needed to provide service as media relations contact for away events.
Prepare and submit weekly conference and NCAA reports as directed.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field.
Preferred: At least two (2) years experience in the collegiate or professional level in media relations or related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with wide variety of constituents. Knowledge and understand of social media platforms and website management.
