The main responsibilities of this role include: serving as the head coach for the Club Sailing Team, overseeing Learn to Sail Physical Education classes, manage the repair and maintenance of the Sailing Pavilion, fleet of sail boats and coach boats, and the practice and competition docks.
This role also oversees the sailing portion of Camp Terrier in summer months, which includes hiring and training instructors and creating a sailing curriculum for the camp. The competitive sailing club competes as a part of the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association, governed by the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association.
Specific duties related to the responsibilities of the head coach include but are not limited to: coaching regattas/practices, organizing and attending a spring break training trip, fundraising, purchasing necessary equipment and travel accommodations, recruiting, assisting the e-board in organizing alumni events, and creating and maintaining a positive culture for the sailing team and alumni.

Required Skills
- Instructional and Coaching Experience in Sailing, specifically racing knowledge and experience with sailboat, powerboat, and dock oversight and maintenance
- Certification in CPR, Basic First Aid
- US Sailing Level 1 Instructor
- 3-5 years coaching sailing and racing
