Work Experience Description:

Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.

Position Scope

  • Provides cultural information through demonstrations and lectures, and teaches songs, dances, crafts, games and cultural phrases to guests.

  • Learns how to create, maintain and/or do repairs of moderate difficulty on cultural artifacts, buildings, and props using a variety of equipment and materials.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the manager.


Requirements

  • In good health and have a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking in any given time frame

  • Capable of moving freely among the guests and be capable of a full range of body movement.

  • Able to communicate in English.

  • Must know the basics of playing the ukulele.

  • Must look Polynesian.

  • Should be knowledgeable about the culture being represented.

  • Should be able to speak the language of the culture being represented.

Must submit your CURRENT semester's class schedule (WEEKLY VIEW) and resume.

$14.00

Approximate starting hourly rate:

$14.00 - $16.00
