The University of South Florida seeks an innovative and dynamic leader to serve as the Director of its highly ranked School of Information Systems and Management (SISM) at the Muma College of Business. This position offers an exciting opportunity to guide the School through continued growth and success while enhancing its reputation as a competitive and globally recognized program.

Housed within the Muma College of Business, the School of Information Systems and Management offers nationally ranked undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs designed to prepare students for leadership roles in information systems, technology management, and business analytics. Known for its strong emphasis on business technology and analytics, SISM produces graduates who fill leadership positions both locally and nationally. The School’s robust programs and research, combined with a network of industry collaborations, ensure that students are well-prepared for the demands of an increasingly technology-driven world. The School’s graduates are in high demand, securing positions at leading companies across various industries, including Citi, JPMorgan Chase, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft.

The Muma College of Business creates business thinkers by challenging students with a rigorous curriculum taught by faculty who practice what they teach. The College provides meaningful experiential learning opportunities and delivers relevant knowledge to our students to achieve success both in the classroom and after graduation. The College has a longstanding history of facilitating relationships with businesses in the greater Tampa Bay area, supported by the Bellini Center for Talent Development, to build a talent pipeline and support workforce development initiatives.

Reporting to the Dean of the Muma College of Business, the Director will lead the School's academic and research initiatives across USF’s three campuses, with a focus on nurturing a culture of research excellence, collaboration, and student success. The next Director will build on the School’s broad research interests and foster a collaborative environment, working across schools, colleges, and campuses to enhance faculty research and continue robust industry engagement. The Director will be responsible for hiring, promotion and tenure decisions, program development, and securing strategic corporate relationships and funding to support the School’s growth and vitality. The next Director will continue to elevate the School’s presence in the Tampa Bay area and beyond, strengthening and growing partnerships with the local business community.

To fill the position of Director of the School, the College seeks a forward-looking leader, who embraces the nimble, innovative spirit of the School, College and University and who will drive excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will bring strong vision, passion, innovation, and execution skills; operational implementation and people management skills; experience stewarding research excellence with strong academic credentials; and demonstrated success engaging varied external stakeholders.
