Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $53,500 - Midpoint: $66,900 (Salaried E8)

Department/Organization: 500101 - Risk Management

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; after hours may be required.

Job Summary: The Risk Management Analyst I administers assigned claims and assigned risk control responsibilities under general supervision. Supports claim management, risk control, and risk financing initiatives. Performs claim trend analysis and generate claim trend reports.

Additional Department Summary: The Risk Management Analyst administers assigned claims, assigned risk control responsibilities and assigned risk financing responsibilities. Claim assignments will include on-the-job injuries, auto accidents, property losses and general liability situations. Supports claim management, risk control and risk financing initiatives. Completes special projects as assigned by the Exec. Director of Risk Management.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Skills and Knowledge: Conflict management skills will be very important in this role. Being able to deal with conflict and stressful situations while remaining professional and productive is essential. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Must have a broad knowledge of computer and Internet applications in business. A willingness to pursue relevant professional designations is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in finance, accounting, business management or other business related areas of study is preferred. Insurance and self-insurance studies and designations preferred. Customer service (including part time) experience preferred.
