Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Note to Applicants: Position is eligible for remote work subject to University policy.Job Summary: The Regional UA Admissions Advisor serves as the field representative for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for an assigned regional area. Recruits students to attend The University of Alabama by creating awareness about the University, its programs, and scholarship opportunities. Coordinates recruiting efforts with local alumni chapters. Identifies prospective qualified undergraduate students. Plans student receptions and counselor briefings. Analyzes data on current and future territories and markets.
Additional Department Summary: Serves as recruiter for northern Illinois (Chicago), greater Seattle WA area and Washington State and Oregon. Candidate must reside in the northern Chicago area.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience; OR master's degree and some recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Some evening and weekend work is required. This position requires the incumbent to have personal transportation and to travel alone. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. The capability to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry large quantities of sometimes heavy recruitment materials.
Skills and Knowledge: Basic desktop computing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Poise. An interest in working with prospective college students and their families. Ability to work with different cultures and groups of people. Capable to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry large quantities of heavy recruitment materials.

Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual language skills preferred.
Bachelor's degree or higher in business, public relations, marketing, communications, education, counseling is preferred.
