The Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University Of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time academic clinician track position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor level. This faculty position will have a primary appointment in The Department of Restorative and Preventive Dentistry and a secondary appointment in the Department of Oral Medicine. The position involves both the education of D3 and D4 students in the Care Center for Persons with Disabilities at Penn Dental Medicine and residents in Penn Dental Medicine's Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Penn Dental Medicine's community affiliated sites within the city of Philadelphia and Langhorne, PA. The appointee must possess strong clinical skills and be creative and innovative in providing clinical care and instruction in the treatment of patients with medically complex conditions, acquired, developmental and intellectual disabilities, and other specialized healthcare needs in an outpatient clinical setting. Responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction, supervision and evaluation of both postdoctoral residents and predoctoral students. Further expectations include mentoring postdoctoral residents and predoctoral students on clinical projects with scholarly outcomes and engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Qualifications
Graduation from a CODA accredited dental school with a DDS or DMD degree or equivalent, and General Practice Residency (GPR) or equivalent experience.
Strong foundation in general dentistry and care of patients with specialized healthcare needs.
Leadership capacity, demonstrated collaboration and networking skills
Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted dental license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
