The College is widely recognized as a place for students who want to enter the job market with a solid foundation in liberal arts or transfer successfully to a baccalaureate program at a four-year institution. The College does an excellent job of preparing its students for both.
Waycross College is a non-residential college of 980 students. The student body is diverse, and the average age is 25. Waycross College students perform well on the Regents’ Test and have good success upon transferring to four-year institutions. The Adults Start College Grant helps returning non-traditional students achieve success in higher education.
Partnerships with the community are particularly evident at Waycross College. The College is an active supporter of the Okefenokee Arts and Entertainment Alliance.
