Job Description Summary
This role coordinates the day-to-day operations for several research protocols. They will be responsible for the abstraction of complex medical data in order to determine study eligibility. Manage data using different tools, systems and statistical software package and submit protocol modifications and continuing reviews to the IRB as needed, perform literature review, and write reports and sections of grant proposals and manuscripts for publication.
Job Description
The Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy and The Parity Center seek a Research Coordinator/Senior Research Coordinator to support multiple research projects. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for implementing day-to-day operations for health policy data analysis projects and randomized controlled trials. This role may be asked to work with a variety of data sources including private insurer data, Medicare data, and or VA data. The research coordinator will support the research team by fulfilling client deliverables on a timely basis to meet project deadlines; this will include leading the development of deliverables (proposals, policy briefs, literature reviews, etc.) to be shared externally. This person will also work with the Project Manager to manage the data teams and produce the final data reports, tables, and presentation materials to be shared externally. The research coordinator will coordinate with the Project Manager to manage IRB protocols, manuscript preparation and submission, project timelines, and organize team meetings, including internal meetings and external meetings at project sites. The research coordinator may be asked to assist with preparation of data use agreements and to manage and update Center or project related social media accounts. This person may be asked to travel to external sites to participate in study design meetings, team retreats, to check in on study progress and share analyses. We expect this position to grow to support multiple research projects, in the near future, as they are funded.
In addition to the above, the Senior Research Coordinator should have a demonstrated record of strong research and administrative skills. The Senior Research Coordinator will meet regularly with project leadership to review project updates and timelines but should have the ability to function independently or with limited guidance in carrying out most responsibilities, including IRB management, social media management, and management of team meetings, team activities, and project deliverables.
This is a full-time position, contingent on funding.
The minimum salary for each role is as follows: Research Coordinator - $46,108.00 - Sr. Research Coordinator - $57,696.00.
This Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting. All salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.

- Research Coordinator: Bachelor's Degree and 1 to 2 years of research related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required. This person should have an understanding of the healthcare system and a desire to expand this knowledge base. Experience working with data and understanding good data management practices preferred. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability, to work effectively independently is required. Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint is required. Accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail will be vital in this position. Position contingent upon funding.
Senior Research Coordinator: Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of research related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required. This person should have an understanding of the healthcare system and a desire to expand this knowledge base. Experience working with data and understanding good data management practices is preferred. Understanding of regulatory compliance issues preferred. Ability, to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is required. Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint is required. Accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail will be vital in this position. Position contingent upon funding.
