Job OverviewAs one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.The UC Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine (PCCSM) at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a full-time (100% FTE) Clinical Research Assistant. The Clinical Research Assistant will be a critical member of the team, providing administrative support to the Clinical Research Director and assisting staff with a variety of clinical research activities. Essential Functions
- Screen patients for qualification according to protocol criteria via the electronic medical record and coordination with the clinical team.
- Assist in the scheduling and conduct of research visits and tests.
- Perform study specific or routine physical/clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, measurement of vital signs, height/weight, participant questionnaires, etc.
- Manage the collection, labeling, and processing of laboratory specimens, including blood, sputum, and other biological samples, following protocol guidelines.
- Accurately collect and enter data from electronic medical records, onto paper research charts or electronic systems in a timely manner for industry-sponsored, federally funded, or investigator initiated clinical research studies.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and perform administrative duties for the efficient operations of the PCCSM Clinical Research Office.

High School Diploma or GED.
Additional Qualifications Considered- Two (2) years of general workforce experience.
- Experience in the field of clinical research.
- Administrative or office management experience.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
- Experience as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, or in other patient facing settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in science related field ideal.
