Your opportunity:

Working under the Manager of Project & Standards, you will be responsible to coordinate tasks for construction projects and other strategic initiatives, draft and write progress reports and routine documents, develop project task schedules, generate reports, respond to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirect as appropriate, determine logistical details and activities, identify financial discrepancies for project budgets and direct the activities of casual staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items and tasks for construction projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
  • Developing task schedules in concert with project schedules
  • Fostering positive relationships with clients
  • Determining actionable items based on the review of applicable information
  • Tracking and collecting information on project progress
  • Maintaining and organizing project documentation
  • Informing project leaders of issues and roadblocks
  • Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming

Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of related work experience providing administrative and project coordination support.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects within timeline constraints
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving and organizational skills, and initiative and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, generating reports, and updating and maintaining databases
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team to support the administrative operations
  • Must be able to prioritize, meet deadlines and exercise accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must possess tact, diplomacy, sound judgement and a positive and professional attitude

Assets (Nonessential):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
  • Experience coordinating projects in a Post-Secondary Institution is an asset
