Job Details

As a mental health counselor, you will maintain an active caseload of students with counseling needs and documented disabilities. You will provide students with community referrals, conduct outreach or psychoeducational program development, and promptly document all student contact in Titanium. You will serve in an on-call capacity as needed for crisis intervention, participate in student orientations, and maintain a personal and master schedule. Among other responsibilities, you will keep your supervisor informed of staff development needs and participate in department performance improvement initiatives. You will also prepare performance reviews for supervisor approval.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related discipline
  • Clinical license in counseling, psychology, social work, or is license eligible

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in counseling or accommodation services

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • Acceptable licenses include a Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D.), a Licensed Professional Counselor (L.P.C.), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and an Associate Professional Counselor (APC).

Travel Required:

  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
