Boston University's Behavioral Medicine clinic is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. The position is full-time, but a 9 or 10 months per year schedule may be considered. Our clinicians provide assessment and treatment of undergraduate and graduate students with a range of mental health issues. Care of students involves coordination with Student Health Service-based primary care clinicians, as well as providers outside of the university. Collateral work includes outreach to the Boston University community, as well as liaison with professors, family, University organizations, to assist in care for the individual student. This position includes rotated backup on call responsibilities.

Required Skills
  • Degree and area of specialization: MD or DO, Board certification (or eligibility) in Psychiatry and/or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Must be licensed or license eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • Experience in college mental health, crisis management, and brief intervention preferred.
  • Administrative and technological skills required to document in an Electronic Health Record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team setting.
  • Demonstrated skill in working well under pressure to prioritize and manage multiple clinical situations and to coordinate these efforts as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated awareness, knowledge, and skills to interact effectively with persons representing a wide range of diverse backgrounds, namely socio-economic, students of color, LGBTQ, and international students.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with a commitment to high professional ideals.
