- Act as a key contact internally and externally working with initiative leadership to build annual operating plans
- Ensuring a sustained level of engagement between faculty, grad students, and member companiesManaging communications from member companies and facultyPlanning events and activities ranging from large conferences to small meetingsCommunicating with our external and internal ecosystem via newsletters, mailing lists and social media channelsAdministering seed research awards; arranging graduate student recruiting eventsInvoicing members and tracking payments
- Managing website contentProviding guidance for international and US visiting scientistsFormulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendationsCollect and analyze data, create reports, review, and explain trendsOrganize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include communications, events, training, and/or conferencesAssuring that members of our initiatives receive invitations to all appropriate Stanford events
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Bachelorās degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work and multi-task.Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team.Relevant subject matter knowledge.Ability to direct the work of others, for jobs requiring supervision.
- Familiarity with the fields of energy and the environment.Event planning.Familiarity with Stanford University policies, procedures, and systems.
