Financial & Earnings Ops Advisor is responsible for the financial management of assigned earnings operations within the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK) under the supervision of the Finance Manager. This includes Policy and procedure oversight, billing management, audit and annual rate reviews of assigned operations. Coordinates with unit leaders and ERIK IT in supporting various billing systems, that are utilized by university customers. Oversees, controls, and administers earnings funds for assigned units within ERIK, working closely with unit representatives. Partners with unit fiscal representatives and ERIK Budget Planning & Analysis in the development, preparation and review of annual budget reports, forecasts, and personnel management of assigned units and centers within the hierarchy. Develops comprehensive resource reports and trainings for units. Works closely with appropriate offices and Business and Finance to improve processes and procedures. Partners with ERIK Operational Excellence to provide recommendations for new strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency. Develops and implements financial projects; maintains a cost analysis to determine per diem rate and presents this information to ERIK leadership and unit leaders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or related field.
- 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Considerable experience working with earnings operations.
- Strong analytical, computer, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Effective time management skills to complete multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Self-directed individual with the ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in related field including, but not limited to Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration or Finance.
- 8-12 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of OSU policies and regulations.

Additional Information:This position's target hiring pay range is $74,900 to $98,500. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the candidate's relevant work experience and qualifications, and the unit's available budget, which is the primary determining factor.
