The GTPE Registrar is responsible for non-credit student and program records for the Georgia Tech Professional Education and Language Institute programs at the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Lifetime Learning. The GTPE Registrar supervises issuance of Professional Education CEUs, certificates and student transcripts, manages scheduling of non-credit courses, and safeguards the quality of system records. The GTPE Registrar supervises and provides expertise on the student information system and the online registration system and leads troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts. The GTPE Registrar provides reporting to the Board of Regents and other constituencies. The GTPE Registrar leads the GTPE Registration team.
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Supervise the installation, maintenance and upgrades of student records software applications and online registration tools. Maintain system functionality. Perform testing in support of updates and enhancements.
Job Duty 2 -
Utilize report writer tools to produce standard and ad hoc reports; serve as a resource and tester for report writer software.
Job Duty 3 -
Liaise with other campus units regarding student recordkeeping and related matters.
Job Duty 4 -
Respond to requests from Board of Regents and others for information regarding student and course related activity on behalf of GTPE and the Language Institute.
Job Duty 5 -
Supervise the issue of Professional Education course certificates and student transcripts.
Job Duty 6 -
Participate, as a GTPE leader, in unit-wide strategy development and implementation. Represent GTPE in campus SIS planning committee.
Job Duty 7 -
Establish employee and/or group goals, assessing employee and/or group performance and provide feedback, and make pay recommendations.
Job Duty 8 -
Develop and implement policy and process improvement within the GTPE Registrar function.
Job Duty 9 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five years of job related experience
Required:
Expertise in Banner SIS (person record management, student record management, account record management, course and schedule management, detail code management)
Sharepoint
Microsoft office products
Experience with Drupal, ServiceNow, Grouper a plus.
