Knowledge / Expertise
- Demonstrated ability to use knowledge of employment law and best practices to coach and mentor professionals for investigations, compliance with laws, and appropriate actions/responsesSkill in mediation, conflict resolution, constructive dialogueDemonstrated knowledge and experience in Title IX, and the Title IX Investigatory process. This position acts as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for the College.
- Demonstrated experience establishing employee relations strategy, including the ability to align with the strategy of the College; including focus on manipulating data to make informed decisionsDemonstrated leadership experience fostering and encouraging a culture of belonging, justice, equity and inclusion, collaboration and teamwork, including the ability to guide other leaders in nurturing these skills
- Working in ambiguity and complexity; demonstrated ability to decipher rules and processes, and to shepherd stakeholders at all levels (including in a union or other highly regulated environment)Ability to find creative ways to address concerns or issues within established parameters with appropriate risk

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related discipline (NOTE: Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.)Five years progressively responsible professional experience in employee relations, labor relations, or a related discipline, includingTwo years of supervisory experience (including responsibility for hiring, performance management, and termination)Experience must include responsibility for civil rights compliance
Preferred Qualifications
●Strong background in employment law/compliance (preferably in a higher education setting)
●Experience managing/supervising/leading a team dealing with highly sensitive and complex employee matters ●Demonstrated working knowledge of HR systems and the ability to learn and maintain strong knowledge of internal policies, procedures, systems, and resourcesPosition GradeOStarting Salary ExpectationsPlacement will be within the Classification salary range, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.Position Grade Salary Range$125391 to $181819 Annual SalaryFTE1PCC BenefitsPCC offers a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide employees and their families, including domestic partners, with access to a broad range of benefit options. After one year of management or confidential service, PCC also provides a 2% contribution to a 403(b) account for eligible management and confidential personnel. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.
Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.
Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)
- 14.67 hours of vacation leave per month
- 1 day of sick leave per month
- 11 holidays
- 3 additional personal leave days per year
