The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) is accepting applications for a part-time non tenure track Professor of the Practice faculty position. Candidates must have the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses, and assist with faculty and student research in the field of electromagnetics (EM), including antennas, transmission lines, propagation, microwave circuits, radar, electronic warfare (EW), radar cross section (RCS) engineering, electro-optics (EO), infrared sensors, and related areas. The ECE department has existing radar and microwave laboratories to support both research and teaching.
The candidate must possess an earned Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, or other related field. Prior academic, industrial, and/or military experience is highly desired. Experience with military radar and/or EW systems is a plus. The publication/patent record of a candidate will also be taken into consideration.

Industrial, academic, or military experience with electromagnetic systems, including antennas, transmission lines, RF/microwave circuits, scattering and propagation, radar, electronic warfare, electro optic, and infrared systems is desirable.
NPS is a fully accredited graduate school with students from all branches of the U.S. armed services, as well as foreign military officers. U.S. citizenship is required and salary is competitive. Monterey is a short drive south from the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay area and is ideally situated along the spectacular central California coast.
