WBUR's Product and Audience Insights team is responsible for growing, engaging, and converting audiences across WBUR platforms. The team is comprised of product managers, engineers, data analysts, and data architects, with the goal of optimizing the audience experience for all WBUR listeners. The team manages the distribution of our content on owned (web, mobile, newsletters) and unowned (podcast, social, streaming) platforms, and then collaborates across the organization on audience analytics and optimization of the use of Salesforce, digital authoring tools, and distribution tools. The team is responsible for digital infrastructure reliability and our capabilities to target communication across channels.
As the Salesforce Program Manager at WBUR, you will partner with key stakeholders across our organization to gather and prioritize business requirements for our Salesforce platforms (NPSP, Marketing Cloud, CRM Analytics, and Data Cloud). This role is part of the Product and Audience Insights team, and you will be in charge of overseeing the implementation of new features and capabilities in our audience and donor management platforms.
Essential Functions:
- 50%: Partner with key stakeholders across WBUR's business (Membership, Development, Business Partnerships, Finance, Editorial) to lead the work to gather requirements and their benefits, ensure the business needs are articulated simply and completely with end to end processes in mind, translate them into actionable technical plans, and create a prioritization (or roadmap) of those requirements with the highest value to optimize our Salesforce platform.
- Ensure the roadmap aligns with business and technical strategies and delivers exceptional value to internal stakeholders and our external customers.
- Set expectations on outcomes, timelines, and resources needed to ensure that stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately.
- Lead and facilitate meetings and discussions to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide updates on project progress.
- Support business stakeholders in completing their testing of built Salesforce capabilities, and then additionally identifying opportunities to improve workflows and efficiencies using Salesforce.
- 30%: Oversee the planning and execution of Salesforce development and administration, ensuring technical teams work aligns with business needs, goals, and objectives.
- Ensure that Salesforce builds are implemented and utilized in accordance with best practices and compliance standards.
- Document and communicate platform updates and newly available capabilities to all stakeholders through release notes, trainings, and regular status updates.
- 20%: Report status and progress to executive sponsor(s) and key stakeholders across the different teams, on priorities, roadmaps, and deliverables.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities to direct reports.
- Regularly participate in product team meetings and communicate with stakeholders of all levels to ensure the goals are clear and the vision is aligned with business objectives.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 09:00AM-05:00PM ET, 40 hours per week
Hybrid Flexibility: 2 Days/Week Onsite, 3 Days/Week Remote.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, IT, or related field 5 years of experience with Salesforce or other equivalent CRM tech stack
- Proven experience with product thinking
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and its capabilities and the ability to stay current on latest Salesforce features and trends
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of Salesforce systems/architecture Certifications a plus (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Admin, Salesforce Developer)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate a team to consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies
- Experience with different platforms, tools and methods to support business and technical teams in managing, tracking, prioritizing, and executing technical projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and make effective decisions
