Key Responsibilities :The Department of Education at Juniata College is hiring one fixed-term, full-time faculty position in early childhood education for the 2025-2026 academic year, pending final budgetary approval. The department currently offers programs in early childhood (PreK to 4), special education (PreK to 12), and secondary education. The position is a one-year fixed term position with a chance of renewal.
We are looking for a candidate with a specialty in any area of early childhood education (to teach in our PreK to 4th grade certification program) who will supplement and strengthen our current offerings. Ideal candidates will be able to teach some combination of early childhood courses, including Child Development, English Language Learners, Math Methods, Science Methods, Teaching for Social Justice, Families/Schools/Communities, and Student Teacher Supervision. We seek candidates who are sensitive to the needs of an academic community that is diverse with regard to gender, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or identity, disability status, and protected veteran status.

The successful candidate will have a PhD, EdD, or Masters degree and ABD.
Supervision Required/Given:This position reports to the Chair of the Education department.
