In conjunction with the Senior Manager of the Service Center, manage a team of HR staff focused on providing timely, accurate and responsive services to faculty and staff on matters of onboarding, benefits enrollment and administration, leaves (LTD, PFML, FMLA, etc.) employment verification, unemployment, employee records, and general HR policy information. Oversees case and knowledge management system (Dovetail) to ensure integrity of data and optimal staff services. The position reports to the Senior Human Resources Service Center Manager. Manages the enrollment and administration of all employee benefit and leave programs, including retirement, health & welfare, sick and vacation, disability, AD&D, etc. Works in close partnership with the Benefits Center of Expertise, HRIS, and HR Business Partners to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. Ensures that all benefits inquiries and concerns are resolved quickly, equitably, and courteously by the HR Service Center team.
Required Skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Typically has 5 years of HR related experience including 1-2 years supervising staff.
- Experience in Human Resources preferably Benefits and/or HR Service Center for a large organization.
- HR experience in Higher Education is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service and collaboration skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to create HR processes to support change management initiatives to ensure a high level of HR service and support to employees.
- Experience implementing and maintaining on-going training and development programs.
- Knowledge with SAP HCM desired.
