Description:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Integrated Learning, the Program Coordinator works with associate deans, assistant deans, curricular component directors, faculty, and data and analytics staff, to support and implement assigned curricular components. The Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the specified curriculum and educational requirements are met by preparing schedules, compiling syllabi components, arranging media services and support, scheduling learning spaces for curricular sessions, and preparing student assignments for all assigned curricular components. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborates with faculty, staff, and leadership to plan and implement the delivery and evaluation of assigned curricular components and related activities within the academic program, ensuring alignment with the mission and goals of the School of Medicine.
  • Provides administrative support essential for faculty success, including scheduling and attending meetings, managing correspondence, organizing, and tracking tasks, coordinating faculty recruitment and onboarding, and supporting educational technology activities.
  • Coordinates the administration of assigned curricular components and learning sessions, faculty meetings, materials for sessions, and any other related sessions and initiatives and activities.
  • Maintains forms and databases to document and support program activities.
  • Provides administrative support for assessment and evaluation processes and works with the data and analytics team to share student assessment and program/faculty evaluation data with the respective curricular component directors.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in an education or health care setting.
  • Must have above-average organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and must demonstrate a high degree of judgement, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, faculty, and students, manage complex projects in a busy work environment, and approach challenges with creativity and innovation.
  • Must exhibit proficiency in computing, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other relevant software applications.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to and from off-site meetings.
  • Early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required to monitor program activities and manage workload.
