Job Overview

In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Surgery is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.

A full-time faculty position is available in the Department of Surgery Division of Transplantation at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. The position will be a two-year fellowship position, accredited by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS), focusing on solid organ transplant and vascular access.

Essential Functions
  • Perform clinical duties in general surgery, solid organ transplant, and vascular access, under the supervision of attending surgeons.
  • Alongside and under the supervision of attending surgeons, will assist in the didactic and clinical education for the general surgery residency program, and for medical students that rotate in the Division of Transplantation.
  • Attend departmental and divisional meetings as relevant, to include participation in grand rounds and morbidity and mortality (M&M) review.
Minimum Requirements
  • Ohio medical license.
  • Medical Degree (MD/DO).
  • Completion of 5-year residency in surgery.
Required Education

Professional Degree: MD, DO or equivalent.

Required Trainings/Certifications

Current Ohio medical license by the date of hire.
