The Department of Biobehavioral Health Sciences at the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an associated faculty position on the non-tenure practice track in the Nutrition Science programs.
We invite candidates who hold a doctorate in nutritional science or education and the Registered Dietitian (RD) and LDN credentials to apply to the Associated Faculty (practice track at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level).
Our undergraduate Nutrition Minor and Major in Nutrition Science are popular programs drawing students from diverse educational backgrounds across the university. Our new, groundbreaking Master of Science in Nutrition Science (MSNS) degree program is designed to meet the educational needs of multiple licensed health care professionals, trainees, and students seeking a rigorous graduate education in advanced nutrition science.
Qualifications
The faculty member will have teaching and some service responsibilities in our nutrition program. Interested parties must have:
▪ Experience in curriculum development/evaluation, academic teaching using multiple modalities (didactic, online, academically based community service) and working with interprofessional groups.
▪ Content expertise with life cycle, clinical, and community nutrition, and nutrition counseling at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
▪ Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate numerous sources of complex information is required.
▪ Excellent writing skills are essential.
▪ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are needed.
