The CAE also supports the mission of Student Affairs to contribute to the teaching, research and public services purposes of the University. Salary & Compensation
*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications

Professional experience in post-secondary settings withstudents who have disabilities, and working knowledge ofsupport services and accommodation methods. (Required)

Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Section 504 of the RehabilitationAct of 1973, and Assembly Bill 746. (Required)

Working knowledge of UC Guidelines and Practices, and University Policy as they pertain to studentswith disabilities. (Preferred)

Working knowledge of a variety of assessment instruments and psycho-educational reports used todiagnose specific learning disabilities in adults and demonstrated ability to interpret test results andpsycho-educational reports to determine eligibility for services. (Preferred)

Knowledge and ability to provide counseling on disability management and compensatory strategiesfor students with disabilities. (Required)

Ability to organize and teach workshops and support groups to assist students with disabilities todevelop personal understanding about disability-related issues. (Required)

Working knowledge of adaptive computer technology and specialized software. (Preferred)

Ability to work collaboratively with individuals, departments and organizations on and off campus. (Required)

Skill in communicating effectively orally and in writing to obtain and convey information. (Required)

Interpersonal skills to interact sensitively with students (with various disabilities and from diversebackgrounds) and with campus colleagues, governmental officials and community representatives. (Required)

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staffmembers, subordinates and management. (Required)

Ability to assist in general office functions when needed. (Preferred)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Master's Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training (Required)

Special Conditions for Employment

Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.

Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.

CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA. The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".
