- Oversee major sponsored project awards.
- Serve as the focal point between the sponsoring agency and the Principal Investigator in the fiscal administration of grants and contracts.
- Review proposal budgets, keeping abreast with a variety of constantly changing federal regulations.
- Monitor fiscal performance on awards.
- Prepare final financial reports of expenditures.
- Initiate grant closeout process.
- Assist and instruct Principal Investigator(s) and their staff in grant management procedures.
- Handle billing and collecting and resolve over expenditure problems.
- Perform a variety of analytical and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with accounting principles, sponsor requirements, federal and state guidelines and University policies.
Required Skills
- B.A./B.S. Desired.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter, diplomatic, pro-active, and able to adapt and advance knowledge of skills, methods, practices, policies and/or procedures and a moderate degree of innovation, analysis and reasoning to complete work that is project-oriented and involves complex problems and/or decisions.
- One to three years of related experience.
