Job Description:

Established in 2022, the Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education is a multidisciplinary academic unit whose purpose is to support teaching and research concerning the ideas, traditions, and texts that shape Western civilization and American values and institutions. The Center also seeks to promote civil discourse and the ethics of citizenship, and to prepare students to see past their horizons and prepare for a lifetime of leadership and meaningful careers.

The Hamilton Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Education and Training Programs to provide leadership and oversight for key functions within the department, focusing on the strategic development and operational implementation of educational or training initiatives.

Primary duties include:
  • Collaborate with Senior Management: Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives, providing updates on program performance and operational challenges, and offering solutions to align with organizational priorities.
  • Oversee Program Implementation: Lead the daily operations of education, outreach, and training programs, ensuring they meet goals, comply with policies and regulations, and align with participant and organizational needs.
  • Program Evaluation and Improvement: Collect and analyze program data to identify areas for improvement, leading efforts to enhance program quality and efficiency through continuous feedback and best practices.
  • Team Leadership and Staff Development: Guide and mentor staff, fostering collaboration and professional development to enhance program delivery, student engagement, and overall program success.


Expected Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred experience and education include:
  • Advanced degree in business, public policy, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications related to education or program management.
  • Experience working in a foreign policy, international security, higher education, nonprofit, or corporate training environment.
