Florida State University will soon embark on its next comprehensive campaign. As the silent phase of the campaign begins, the Division of University Advancement is accelerating the hiring of additional Alumni Engagement professionals campus-wide and is excited to build out its team. For Advancement professionals who are interested in being a part of a comprehensive campaign from the beginning for their career development, the timing is ideal to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing University Advancement Communications project intake system, assuring projects comply with university and division standards and programmatic requirements and are completed on schedule, within budget and in compliance with defined scope and quality standards. Projects may have a high level of complexity, may be high profile, and have multiple competing deadlines to be managed across a broad scope.
  • Manages and monitors all communication project requests through the submission system, including digital and creative campaigns. Manages the project intake system for all mass e-communication requests, ensuring efficient distribution of email campaigns for the Division of University Advancement. Collaborates across multiple departments to prioritize and manage projects that have digital and/or print components. Oversee all workflow processes and leverages the project management system to ensure projects are completed effectively, on time, and with clear communication to internal stakeholders. Adjusts schedules and targets on projects as needed; communicates changes with team members. Ensure projects are within budget.
  • Proactively manage projects by defining requirements, timelines, setting priorities and managing deadlines. Develops ongoing project pipeline for customer requests. Ensures proper use of FSU and FSU DUA brand, trademarks and logos. Works in partnership with DUA Comms colleagues to develop thorough understanding of project goals, strategy, target markets and segments to implement effective marketing communications programs.
  • Develops copy and supports content creation for unit-driven projects. Supports the development of high-quality content and final products that follow AP style, use correct grammar, are factually correct and positively reflect the FSU brand.
  • Contributes to concepting and storytelling for projects and assignments, even if not assigned to create the final product.
  • Collaborates with and seeks input from creative, communications, writing and digital colleagues.
  • Support DUA and Engagement activities as needed for signature events; Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

  • Valid FL or GA Driver's License or the ability to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 or Agile certifications.
