Responsibilities- This position is responsible for activities such as budget monitoring, compiling and analyzing financial and payroll information, and maintaining electronic databases for the College of Medicine (COM).
- Assists Director with ad hoc and AAMC reports as needed.
- Responsible for completing end-of-year reports for the University. Corrects technical problems in OnCall reports; oversees corrections and updates to managed funds in OnCall. Audits Hiring Plan for accuracy and funding distributions; manages annual reporting timeline; coordinates with COM units for updates.
- Performs monthly Florida Medical Practice Plan (FMPP) Bank 2 Book (B2B) reconciliation: downloading data files,
ensuring timely response to corrections, as needed, submitting report for review and signature. Oversees the FMPP Reconciliation process. - Designs and organizes electronic documentation structure for COM Finance & Administration. Creates electronic informational databases, SharePoint applications and queries to facilitate the review, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of financial and payroll data. Works closely with COM and University departments to include Payroll, Controller,
Sponsored Research, Foundation and Research Foundation ensuring the accuracy of financial and payroll information. Formulates and recommends policies and procedures for the effective management of staff and budgetary resources - Collaborates with Program Director on COM budgetary activities to include budget transfers as needed for Foundation, Auxiliary, and Startups/Awards. Monitors revenue/expenses for auxiliary and startup spending; identifies areas of concern. Works with assigned department chairs/heads on budget questions or corrections. Assists in budget template creation for department budget requests for assigned funding--AUX, Startups, Foundation. Assists with monitoring tuition and fees. Assists Program Director in establishing salary and operating budgets for University Budget System entry specific to non-E&G funding. Participates in long range budget planning and allocation of funds.
Bachelor's degree and one year experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to five years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
