Position Summary:
Arkansas State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Marketing position in the Department of Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain. This position begins August 2025.
Assistant Professor of Marketing will teach undergraduate and graduate courses preferably in sales, marketing research, marketing analytics, digital marketing, hospitality marketing and/or other specialty areas. All A-State faculty engage in scholarly research, participate in curriculum and program development, student advising, university service and outreach.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, as well as appropriate research and service. The responsibilities of the position support the mission and goals of the Neil Griffin College of Business and Department of Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain including engaging in quality scholarly activities consistent with AACSB accreditation and actively participating in departmental and college activities.
- All A-State faculty members deliver instruction, carry out research, perform service for their respective professions and community, and participate in the management of the university through shared governance.
- Each member of the faculty has the duty to deliver instruction and maintain a learning environment consistent with the highest standards of the profession.
- The faculty has a responsibility to set degree requirements, assess when they are met, and establish and maintain curricula that meet professional standards and fulfill the educational goals of the university.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
An earned Ph.D. in marketing or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited school. ABDs from an AACSB-accredited school will be considered if completed by August 2025
Record of quality teaching both face-to-face and online
Demonstration of research potential and productivity
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
The ideal candidate will have an established stream of research with high level publications in marketing or related areas. Research, teaching and/or professional experience in sales, marketing research, marketing analytics, advertising, promotions, digital marketing, social media marketing, hospitality marketing, and data analytics is valued.
General Days/Hours:
Classes are taught face-to-face and online
Traditional classes are scheduled Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Evenings Monday - Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

The Arkansas State University System is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees appointed by the Governor of Arkansas to serve staggered seven-year terms. The trustees hire the system president, approve the curriculum, annually approve an operating budget, and establish policies for the efficient and effective operation of the institutions.
