Position Summary:
The Department of Music invites applications for a Temporary Full Time Instructor of Music Theory/Composition 9-month beginning August 16, 2025.
Duties & Responsibilities:

The Temporary Full Time Instructor of Music in Theory/Composition will teach music theory-related courses including:
- Undergraduate/Graduate Music TheoryApplied Music CompositionOrchestration Form and AnalysisAural Theory Music Fundamentals Counterpoint Additional duties as assigned based on the strengths of the selected applicant and Department of Music needs
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Applicant should demonstrate active scholarly and creative work, knowledge of current compositional trends, evidence of excellence in teaching, and artistic leadership in the areas of composition and theory.
General Days/Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM plus additional hours for musical events on weekends and weekday evenings.
