Perform verification of admission application information and documents submitted for prospective students and provide related customer services. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: graduate program coordinators, graduate students, applicants, and graduate studies staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Admissions staff. This position will supervise: N/A.
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Evaluate foreign and domestic credentials to determine degree equivalency, calculate GPAs, and to ensure that applicants meet Institute minimum requirements.
Job Duty 2 -
Respond to applicant, student, and program inquiries via Slate Inbox, email, and phone.
Job Duty 3 -
Communicate with applicants to receive documents needed to complete their application.
Job Duty 4 -
Update student record system (Banner) and document imaging system for student enrollment.
Job Duty 5 -
Coordinate with technical staff on system issues and process improvement.
Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Required Experience
Two to three years of job-related experience.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Experience
Three to five years of job-related experience.
SKILLS
This job requires basic skills in data entry and verification, customer service, and communications as applied within a university admissions office. Skills in use of office related and specialized computer applications is required.
Preferred qualifications include: experience with admissions and enrollment management software (ie Slate), admissions, and transcript/credential evaluation experience.
