Quinnipiac seeks, as dean of the School of Health Sciences, a leader who can transform healthcare and shape its future by pioneering innovative education programs, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and driving research, ultimately cultivating a workforce equipped to advance patient care and health equity. With extensive leadership experience and a deep understanding of health sciences, healthcare, and workforce needs, the next dean will pursue bold, strategic growth. This leader will promote transparent communication and strengthen collaborations within SHS, across campus, with external partners, and with the broader community. They will ensure the delivery of high-quality academic programs that meet accreditation standards and enrollment objectives. Additionally, the dean will actively seek resources to support these initiatives and, alongside a strong leadership team, set priorities, develop effective systems, and manage resources prudently to position SHS for long-term success.They will be an excellent relationship builder and clear communicator who nurtures a diverse, inclusive, and positive internal culture.

About the School:The School of Health Sciences is home to approximately 100 fulltime faculty and professional staff and enrolls over 2120 students across over 20 graduate and undergraduate academic offerings. The school is organized into 8 departments offering undergraduate majors in biomedical sciences, health sciences, radiologic sciences, medical microbiology & Immunology and diagnostic medical sonography and graduate majors in physician assistant studies, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, biomedical sciences, pathologists’ assistant and cardiovascular perfusion. • Progressive and successful senior administrative and fiscal management experience in an academic
setting
• Notable record of academic achievement, research, practice, and service; qualified for appointment
as a professor with tenure at SHS
• Evidence of significant academic administrative accomplishments, including fiscal oversight, program
accreditation, and strategic planning
• A decisive, creative, and confident leader who can effectively balance priorities
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills; positive, collegial, and collaborative
• A deep understanding of the future of the health science, mental healthcare, healthcare, and higher
education
• Proven ability to work with others to develop, inspire, communicate, and operationalize a shared
vision and strategic plan
• Demonstrated commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment that supports excellence
• Documented experience in conducting assessments and using both quantitative and qualitative data
to improve learning and operational effectiveness
• Aptitude for working within an academic environment on fundraising, alumni relations, and other
long-term development initiatives
