Position Summary:Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Residency Classification Specialist. - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Assist in the collection, organization, and review of residency documents to determine classification for tuition purposes in accordance with Florida Atlantic University policies and Florida Board of Governors Regulation 1009.21.
Thoroughly review required documentation to assess residency status for tuition purposes and ensure compliance with relevant state regulations.
Facilitate email correspondence with applicants regarding residency classification and admissions requirements.
Conduct one-on-one meetings via Zoom, Teams and in-person with students and their families to discuss residency and admissions criteria.
Provide assistance to prospective students as needed.
Read, reply and co-manage a departmental-specific email inbox, responding to residency inquiries and specific academic and admissions questions to appropriate stakeholders.
Contribute proactively to the enhancement of application workflows and the automation of current and future processes, with a focus on improving the residency classification process.
Coordinate with other departments, such as Tuition & Billing, Financial Aid, Kelly Struhl Scholarship Program, and New Student Orientation, to communicate residency classifications and related information.
Use of Student Information Systems such as Banner, Slate, OnBase and state-wide databases to confirm and update student both domestic and international student information.

Minimum Qualifications:A high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Must have excellent verbal and communication skills.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends required.
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Computer proficiency, including MS Office programs, required.
