Position Overview

Starting Salary Range is $39,124 - $44,002. The initial salary offer is commensurate with education and related work experience.

Provide clerical support to the Provost/Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs and the Honors Program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Honors Coordinator.
  • Manage correspondence, filing, photocopying, and answering phones for Honors.
  • Oversee/Coordinate schedules for Honors student assistants.
  • Assist Provost/VP Academic & Student Affairs with clerical support for direct reports as needed.
  • Track curriculum changes in PeopleSoft (WaterMark) curriculum maintenance software. Assist faculty with request submission process.
  • Attend all CAAC meetings for curriculum changes to catalog.
  • Coordinate with AVP Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Marketing/Public Affairs to produce the annual catalog and semester course schedules.
  • Assist with SACSCOC Substantive Change Program Compliance.
  • Assist with Program Compliance with Coordinating Board.
  • Assist with entering faculty loads and reporting as needed.
  • Serve as administrator/manager of WaterMark/SmartCatalog software.
  • Coordinate Presidential Honors Day for the Honors Program; gather honoree names from faculty members, collect student bios, create certificates, send invitations and track RSVPs, and coordinate the day’s events.
  • Make travel arrangements for faculty and students attending Honors Program and Honors Club trips.
  • Help recruit students for the Honors Program.
  • Prepare monthly budget projections for Honors Program.
  • Assist in yearly budget request for Honors Program.
  • Enter purchase requests and credit card information for the Honors Program and Honors Club.
  • Assist with coordination of campus Professional Development Day.
  • Take minutes at meetings as needed.
  • Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with meeting setup, media, room reservation, and food.
  • Assist with visitors and students.
  • Assist with photocopying, media and data presentations.
  • Assist with instructional grant support.
  • Assist with preparing forms for President’s signature.
  • Order and manage office supplies.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
  • Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Associate’s degree or successful completion of sixty (60) college credit hours is required.
  • At least three (3) years of previous clerical or related work experience.
  • Proficient in composition, spelling, and proofreading.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in word processing, online/email correspondence, calculator/math skills, and telephone etiquette.
  • Must be able to work with the public and have excellent customer service skills.
