Job Description:
The Finance Project Manager II will oversee and manage financial projects across the College, ensuring the efficient execution within established timelines and budgets. This role requires close collaboration with cross functional teams to align financial processes, develop cost-optimization strategies, cross-training, and implement financial systems or initiatives that support the College's strategic objectives. Additionally, the Finance Project Manager will monitor project financials, provide detailed status reports, and ensure strict compliance with University and College of Medicine financial policies and regulations.
About This Role:
Reconciliation Coordinator
- Maintain standardized reconciliation templates and procedures for COM departments, ensuring consistent documentation of reconciliation tasks.
- Provide training to departmental fiscal staff on best practices and procedures for reconciliation.
- Perform monthly rotating audits of departmental reconciliations to verify timeliness, accuracy and performance.
- Work closely with COMFA and departments fiscal staff to resolve issues and clarify discrepancies
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance the reconciliation process, including automation tools, best practices, and workflow optimization.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project management processes and methodologies to ensure the timely delivery of projects within budget, while adhering to quality standards and meeting established objectives.
- Act as the project manager for developing new fiscal processes and workflows to promote standardization and efficiency.
- Oversee the success of assigned projects by defining, documenting, and consolidating requirements from key stakeholders, and delivering high-quality outputs, including workflow diagrams, policies, procedures, project timelines, and performance reports.
- Provide end-to-end project management support, including creating detailed project plans, preparing meeting agendas, and coordinating follow-up activities to ensure project milestones are achieved as outlined in work plans.
- Evaluate, plan, design, and implement complex reports, identifying potential barriers and devising strategies to effectively synthesize and integrate data.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring alignment with implementation goals and objectives.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, addressing concerns, providing regular updates, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports, project status updates, and recommendations to leadership, ensuring alignment with overarching financial and business objectives.
- Maintain transparency in financial tracking and reporting by clearly communicating any financial concerns or project risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate project review meetings, monitor progress against milestones, address issues, and provide strategic recommendations for project optimization.
- Develop written and visual presentation materials tailored to the specific needs and level of detail required by the audience, including UF COM leadership, UF Health leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives to enhance financial processes, tools, and methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational objectives.
- Ensure all financial projects adhere to regulatory requirements, company policies, and established internal controls.
- Collaborate with audit and compliance teams to maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and accountability of financial project data.

Expected Salary:
$75,000 - $80,000 annually.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Outstanding project management expertise, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Advanced analytical skills, including the capability to develop financial models, evaluate project costs, and identify opportunities for financial optimization.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Trello.
