Position Summary:

Via annual contract funding from Georgia’s Department of Public Health, Division of Children and Family Services, and United Way of Greater Atlanta, this position directs the training, technical assistance, data and continuous quality improvement initiatives of the Georgia Home Visiting Program. This position acts as a liaison between home visiting funders (GDPH, DFCS, and UWGA), other early childhood partners, the TA/Training team, and home visiting program staff. The core responsibility is providing support to state partners in fulfilling the requirements of the federally funded Maternal, Infant, Early Childhood Home Visiting program and supporting high quality delivery of home visiting services across Georgia.
The position leads a team comprising TA/Training providers with expertise in home visiting models being implemented in Georgia (Healthy Families America/Parents as Teachers) as well as the First Steps Outreach and Screening program and the Georgia Home Visiting Information System – a customized database which houses data collected from home visiting programs across Georgia for performance monitoring and general tracking purposes.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

· Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders at a variety of non-profit and state agencies.

· Experience related to programs supporting families with young children.

· Proficiency with public speaking, training, and/or teaching skills.

· Familiarity with using data systems for reporting.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Possess strong leadership skills; Supervisory experience preferred.

· Experience with budget development and monitoring.

· Experience with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • Supervise and coordinate the efforts of CFR’s Home Visiting Technical Assistance Team.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings, data team meetings, and with individual staff as needed to support high quality work in provision of TA and Training, performance monitoring via the GEOHVIS data system, and the implementation of timely and innovative CQI initiatives.

  • Ensure that all proposed deliverables are generated and submitted in accordance with the proposed timeline.
  • Attend meetings to stay up to date on all requirements; work with teams as needed to accommodate changes.
  • Assist partners as requested with home visiting related proposals and reports. (e.g, HRSA grant applications, progress reports, annual foundation reports, CQI plans and reports, etc.)
