BU's Department of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance is all about building a fun and fit community! As the Assistant Manager of Facilities, you will assist the day-to-day operation of all facilities and services overseen and offered by the department. As part of the facilities management team, this position is primarily responsible for the hiring, training, and oversight of a large student staff focused on front desk reception, pro shop, fitness attendant, open skate, and the Track and Tennis Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange work schedule in conjunction with Facility Management team in order to effectively supervise day to day operations of the Fitness and Recreation Center, including non-traditional hours such as mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Support FitRec full and part-time staff with various daily programming needs.
- Ensure patron safety and security through the enforcement of facility rules and adherence to building emergency and/or evacuation procedures. As manager on duty, support all student staff in the facility with an emphasis on safety, security and customer service.
