Merced College is home to seven women's and seven men's athletic teams and a rich and successful athletic tradition. The Instructional Support Technician III position is vital to the overall success of the department by providing game management, statistical support and handling of equipment. We are looking for a highly dedicated, energetic team member who is committed to each sport while providing student-athletes and coaches with unparalleled support. We invite you to contribute to the ongoing success of Merced College Athletics as an Instructional Support Technician III. This exempt position works irregular hours, days, or on weekends dependent upon the athletics schedule.

General Description:
Under direction, to perform a variety of instructional and clerical duties designed to free the instructor from routine, ancillary and preparatory work associated with an educational program or discipline. The focus of the duties is not only on assistance to the instructor but to the student as well.
Examples of Duties
Essential Functions:
Knowledge of:
- California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA), conference, and college rules, regulations, and policies
- Equipment, materials and supplies used in a college athletic and physical education program
- Basic methods of cleaning and maintaining athletic uniforms and equipment
- Role of the instructor in the educational process
- Fundamentals, terminology, techniques, materials and equipment used in the instructional area to which assigned
- Use, demonstrate and maintain the specialized materials, instruments, tools and equipment of the subject matter specialty
- Speak, read and write standard English
- Understand and to make advanced mathematic computations
- Work with a minimum of supervision and with a high level of knowledge in the field to which assigned
- Cooperate with others
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students
