Counsels’ students and parents on financing a JCSU education: provides information on payment options, maintaining integrity of students records in accordance with federal regulations and standards. Performs cashiering and related duties in support of student accounts and the entire university. Position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical and research skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of customers (students, parents, faculty, staff, vendors and the public). Daily reconciliation and balancing of the Student Accounts & Cashiering Office operations at the end of each business day. Job requires strong customer service skills and well-developed verbal skills, including the ability to handle difficult customer service situations with tact and diplomacy.

Requires a two year associate degree supplemented by one to two years of experience in cashiering or general bookkeeping, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
