Responsibilities

The STEM Integrated Curriculum Specialist will work as an individual and as part of a team to create and publish original instructional content for integrated STEM education and learning.

Duties of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Creating original interactive STEM curriculum for K-12 students for classroom, afterschool, and summer camps

  • Working closely with instructional designers, videographers and narrators to build and publish original interactive resources for students

  • Creating original educational resources for educators of math, science, and STEM

  • Creating original educational resources to support the instruction of STEM in the content areas

  • Conducting thorough, high-quality review of instructor and student materials in math, science, and STEM

  • Creating and providing professional development and training as needed for educators, coaches, and administrators

  • Coordinating with experts in the STEM field to create engaging lessons

  • Coordinating with school districts and teachers for professional development

Qualifications

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Technology, Education, or related area

  • Experience 2+ years teaching, math, science, or STEM in K-12 classrooms

  • Proficiency in mathematics and science content

  • Proficiency in digital tools technology

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Excellent organization, administrative, and time management skills

  • Strong attention to details and strong proofreading skills

  • Highly Proficient with computer software programs including Google Docs, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Creative in how to teach content

  • Creative, motivated, and able to work well individually and with a team

  • Ability to create high-quality original educational resources (e.g., lesson plans and interactive resources) aligned to State Standards

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using CPALMS tools and resources (www.cpalms.org)

  • Experience writing integrated STEM curriculum

  • Experience in leading STEM afterschool or summer camp programs

  • Experience providing professional development for STEM educators

  • Experience with block-coding, robotics, CAD drawing or other ed-tech

  • Experience with aeronautics or advanced manufacturing concepts

  • Experience with meaningful integration across subject areas including STEM and literacy
