Position Overview
The Division of Health Services Management and Policy (HSMP) is accepting applications for a part-time Lecturer to teach one health services management and policy course for the Spring 2025 semester.
The course, “PUBHHMP 7673: Understanding Health Care Organizational Data,” will discuss applications of data from various sources to inform decision making in health services settings and in health policy. This course is taught in person.
Duties include but are not limited to: preparing lecture materials; holding office hours; grading assignments and submitting grades; may participate in curriculum development and course coordination.

Education and Experience Requirements
Required
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio State’s Shared Values.
Desired
- 3 or more years of experience in public health or industry setting
- Availability to teach similar or identical courses in subsequent years
- Experience teaching a course of interest (or similar) in a higher education setting as an instructor of record or as a graduate teaching assistant.

The Division
The Division of Health Services Management and Policy’s Master of Health Administration (MHA) program is 8th nationally in the latest ranking of graduate programs published by U.S. News & World Report. The HSMP Division is responsible for curricula leading to MHA and PhD degrees. The College of Public Health has established undergraduate majors and minors in public health. Our multidisciplinary faculty is known for their excellence in teaching and their significant research accomplishments. The College
The College of Public Health is Ohio’s first accredited college of public health. First established in 1995 as part of the College of Medicine, the University Board of Trustees created the College of Public Health in 2007. In 2025, U.S. News & World Report ranked Ohio State’s College of Public Health graduate program 29th of all Schools of Public Health. It is one of seven health sciences colleges on the same campus, more than any other university in the U.S. The college includes five academic divisions, two centers of outreach and engagement, four graduate degree programs with several specializations, and an undergraduate degree with two specializations, and two undergraduate minors.
