Educational and Experience Requirement:Bachelor’s degree in related field. Two years relevant experience or experience in a related field. Medical or Health Professions education knowledge & experience preferred. Experience in Higher Education is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position:Performs highly advanced duties for Sam Houston State University (SHSU) School of Nursing.
Primary Responsibilities:Performs highly advanced specialist duties for Sam Houston State University (SHSU) School of Nursing (SON). Accountable for the execution and follow through of complex and technical responsibilities. Works with the SON Advisor on admission and recruitment of students within the program. Plans, executes, and participates in recruiting events for the School of Nursing. Builds relationships and represents the SON professionally. Collaborates with the SON Clinical Coordinator to facilitate and assure timely credentialing for faculty and student clinical rotations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:Requires detailed knowledge of university infrastructure, policies and procedures. Requires thorough knowledge of office systems. Must have the ability to solve operational problems and make suggestions for process improvement.
This Position will be located at The Woodlands Center.
Up to 20% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
