Position Description
Performs professional level work at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center by conducting classes on a per-course or limited-term basis, without any guarantee of continuing employment. Responsibilities encompass the coordination and instruction of one or more courses within a prescribed curriculum. Teachers in this classification usually specialize in the academic subject, professional discipline or technical skill being taught at the time of employment. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based upon results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees assigned to area of responsibility.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Is a non-tenure position providing didactic or clinical teaching support for the Accelerated BSN Program.
  • Reports directly to the Accelerated BSN Program Director.
  • Assists with didactic and clinical instruction and/or evaluation in a specified clinical area or in the simulation lab, as assigned.
  • Provides feedback to faculty regarding student performance and learning achievements.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on course content, as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the academic mission of the Health Sciences Center and the School of Nursing.
