Responsibilities and Duties
    Managing the department’s operations including student, faculty, and department records and budgets.Preparing various reports including student academic progress, departmental course scheduling, and publications including graduate and undergraduate catalogs.Assisting with the maintenance of the departmental website and social media accounts.Administrative support to the department’s various initiatives including the Sales Competition, graduate programs, and department Foundation scholarships.Providing scheduling and customer service support to marketing concentration, business minor, and marketing minor students.Preparing a variety of materials and correspondence from rough draft or edited copy.Overseeing department supplies and inventory.Receiving and screening calls, email and mail, monitoring live chat, and various administrative tasks.


Qualifications and Skills
Required:

    High School Diploma or equivalent.Three years of experience providing administrative support.Proficient with various computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with attention to detail.
Preferred:

    Associate's degree or above.Previous experience working in an academic department.Experience with marketing communications.Knowledge of and experience managing office procedures, including budgetary operations.
 

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
