Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.

Job Summary

Prep, set up, service and clean up for all catering events and take-out orders.

**Work hours are scheduled only when there are catering events or orders, so this job does not provide 19 hours weekly. However, if you want to pursue a 2nd job to split hours between 2 jobs, Catering will help to accommodate.**

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists in preparation of catering events and take-out orders.
  • Assists in operations of the private catering room, including room setup and breakdown.
  • Interact with full time kitchen staff, managers, faculty, staff and administration.
  • Practice food safety at all times.
  • Maintain and organize department equipment with timely inventory and cleaning.

Additional Description

ATTIRE: 1) No uniform is provided; must provide your own "DRESS" ATTIRE for serving at catering events: black pants (or skirt for female) and black or white top with collar; NO jeans or leggings; 3) SHOES: closed-toe, clean and presentable; 4) good personal hygiene habits.

FEMALES - hair groomed and pulled up and away from face at all times.

MALES - clean shaven and hair length trimmed above collar and ears at all times.
