Job Summary
The HR Customer Service team at MSU Human Resources seeks a temporary employee to provide excellent front-line HR customer service. In a customer service-focused environment, this position will connect customers with university-wide resources and specialized HR staff, address customer concerns, manage email and phone calls via the Genesys Cloud system, and perform front desk duties. The team seeks candidates who value collaboration/teamwork and diversity/equity/inclusion, have strong communication skills, and are passionate about providing high-quality customer service with a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this role is service-oriented, has six months of customer service experience, is customer-centric, enthusiastic, and friendly, and has a talent for effectively diffusing and redirecting customer concerns. They bring experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, LGBTQIA+, and gender backgrounds and demonstrate respect and inclusivity in every interaction. Exceptional communication skills—verbal, nonverbal, and active listening—are a must, along with the ability to deliver accurate, concise, and compassionate messages.
Additionally, the ideal candidate is a quick learner, comfortable using multi-channel contact center management software, and can consistently provide timely and efficient support. Strong in task prioritization and time management, they are dedicated to ensuring each customer’s satisfaction with a professional and positive approach.
This a temporary position. On-campus temporary employees can work six (6) months, then terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call status.
