Job Details
The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Digital Forensics at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania – Bloomsburg is seeking two full-time tenure-track Computer Science faculty members at the Assistant Professor level to begin in the fall semester of 2025. The position involves teaching undergraduate Computer Science courses. Course assignments will reflect the interests and experience of the faculty member and the needs of the department, with opportunities to develop new courses in areas of interest.
About the Program. The Computer Science program is ABET-accredited and offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. The department also offers B.S. degrees in Applied Computer Science, Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity, and Mathematics. The department currently includes 19 full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members at the Bloomsburg campus. There are four full-time Computer Science faculty members and about 150 Computer Science majors.
About the College: The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Digital Forensics is one of seven departments in the College of Health, Science, and Technology at Commonwealth University. The College offers many nationally accredited and regionally distinct programs. Faculty and staff in the College are dedicated to delivering a meaningful education that provides lasting impact and value for every student. The College seeks student-centered educators and scholars who use innovative, pedagogically sound methods to educate students and engage them in high-impact educational practices both inside and outside the classroom.
Non-teaching duties include advisement of department majors, committee work, and service to the department, College, and University. Continued professional growth through research and other scholarly activities is expected and supported.
Organization

CU – Mansfield, located in the rolling Endless Mountains of the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania between Williamsport, PA, and Corning, NY, is the smallest of CU’s campus communities with an enrollment of 1,300 students. CU also has a campus in Clearfield, approximately one hour to the east of CU – Lock Haven.
