Job Details
Trident Technical College invites candidates of interest for The Vice President for Finance and Business Affairs. As the Chief Financial Officer, this position will report to the President. Trident Technical College, located in Charleston, SC, is a public, two-year, multi-campus institution that provides quality education and promotes economic development in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties. This role involves planning, directing, and administering a comprehensive business and administrative operations division by managing professionals engaged in budget development and tracking, fiscal records and accounting, internal review and accountability, the college bookstore, procurement of goods and services, and related activities. Key responsibilities include overseeing budget development and tracking, fiscal records and accounting, internal reviews for accountability, managing the college bookstore, and procurement processes.
Minimum and Additional RequirementsThis position requires a master’s degree in finance, business, or related degree, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a minimum of five (5) years of senior-level financial management and leadership experience.
Candidate will have experience with fund accounting and automated financial systems. A team approach to management and problem-solving experience is a must. Proven leadership experience in driving organizational change and organizational growth is essential. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to function successfully as a member of the President’s Cabinet. Successful candidates will effectively manage the division by clearly communicating institutional policies, procedures, practices, and the executive decisions and philosophy the President and the Area Commission set forth. Set a vision and build consensus effectively to reach the goals that make the vision a reality. This position will manage multiple activities and re-calibrate priorities to meet the changing demands of resources, competition, and market. Must develop and administer a budget within institutional parameters and guidelines. Commitment to excellence in providing services to customers is a must.
