The Lebanon Valley College Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, 3-year renewable, clinical assistant professor of nursing faculty position with the potential for conversion to tenure-track. Nursing faculty provide classroom and/or clinical/laboratory instruction for students including the coordination, preparation, and presentation of course materials and the evaluation of student progress. Integral aspects include implementation of the College’s mission and program philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through classroom, clinical teaching, and service to the College, health system, and community. Responsibilities include teaching in the undergraduate nursing program with a focus on fundamentals and maternal-child health course content for the nursing curriculum, student advisement, and service engagement to the department, college, and community. Minimum qualifications include at least one graduate degree in Nursing with significant teaching experience, a doctoral degree in Nursing, Education, or a related healthcare field is preferred, a minimum of two years recent direct care clinical nursing experience, competence in clinical area of teaching responsibilities, prior record of excellence in teaching, preferably in pre-licensure nursing education, a commitment to the assessment of learning outcomes, and a current unencumbered Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
